This distribution contains a beta release of PageSpinner 2.1.
After several, several months of bug chasing, development and posrting of PageSpinner from the original THINK C/C++ Compiler to Symantec C++, then to CodeWarrior Pro 1 and finally to the latest CodeWarrior Pro 4 compiler, the first version of PageSpinner optimized for PowerPC is now available. A 68K version is also available.

Please agree to the following before using this beta-version:
* I fully realize that computer software may be buggy and cause damage to data on my system.
* I will not work with alpha and beta-versions on important data and web pages.
* I always keep backup copies of my important data, applications and system software
* I will not hold Optima System responsible for any damages that may occur when using the PageSpinner software.
* I will not redistribute alpha and beta-versions of the PageSpinner software to other persons, Web sites, or file servers on Internet or on Bulletin Board Systems and similar systems.
* I will honor the shareware-system and pay the $25 registration fee if I keep the PageSpinner application on my disk for 30 days or longer.
If you do not agree to the terms above you must delete the entire software from your disk(s).

How to install PageSpinner 2.1b1
To use this version you must have PageSpinner version 2.0.1 installed on your computer. This new version should be placed inside the folder that contains PageSpinner version 2.0.1.
1. Make backup copies of the PageSpinner 2.0.1 application and the Settings folder which both are inside your PageSpinner folder. It is recommended, but not required, to either move these files to a removable disk or compress the files, so that the older version will not be launched when you click on a PageSpinner document or when using Site Assistant.
2. Drag and drop the new "PageSpinner" application and the new "Settings" folder included in this distribution into the PageSpinner folder.
3. Confirm that you want to replace the old files with the new ones.
4. Move the files ps_rollover.js and ps_window.js from the "Includes" folder in this distribution into the existing "Includes" folder in the folder of PageSpinner version 2.0.1
5. Optionally download the Navigation Services SDK and install if you are using Mac OS 8.0 or Mac OS 8.1:
Your old registration code will work with this beta-release, which is a free upgrade to users that purchased PageSpinner after June 1, 1997.
If you registered before June 1, 1997 you will receive a discount when upgrading to version 2.1 before February 1999. Send an email to upgrade@optima-system.com to receive information on how to get the discount. Please include your old registration code and email address used when registering via Kagi or Optima System.
This beta-version will expire on January 20, 1999, but by then a new version should be available.
Please send a report to Optima System via email to support@optima-system.com if you find any bugs or think that some of the new features needs to be explained more clearly. We truly appreciate any help you are able to provide with testing PageSpinner.
When submitting a bug report, submit a short description of the steps required to reproduce the error (if possible). Also, if you discover a bug, try to reproduce it after restarting with only the Standard Extension set in the System's Extension Manager during startup of the computer. Please note that the PageSpinner PPC-version will not launch without the standard system extensions enabled in the system.
